🗓️ Date: March 4th, 2025
📍 Location: Brussels, Belgium
👥 Participants: All I3-4-SEAWEED consortium partners
On March 4th, 2025, the I3-4-SEAWEED consortium held its second in-person General Assembly in Brussels, bringing together all partners for an intensive full-day working meeting. Over the course of eight hours, participants engaged in in-depth discussions covering every aspect of the project — from scientific progress and work package alignment to communication strategies, stakeholder engagement, and upcoming deliverables.
Each partner had the opportunity to present their implementation plans, share their current status, and outline next steps. The session helped ensure a common understanding of timelines, responsibilities, and potential synergies between work packages. The meeting also served to strengthen internal coordination, particularly relevant as some team members had changed since the project’s kick-off.
This General Assembly offered not only a space for project planning, but also for building a strong and collaborative working environment. With many partners meeting face-to-face for the first time, it was a key moment to connect, exchange ideas, and reaffirm the project’s shared vision.
🌊 The meeting took place during the European Ocean Days, providing a timely and inspiring context to reflect on I3-4-SEAWEED’s contribution to Europe’s blue bioeconomy and the role of macroalgae in shaping a more sustainable future.
🍽️ After the formal session, partners shared a relaxed dinner featuring Belgian cuisine — a light social moment that helped reinforce team spirit and informal exchange.
