Who we are?

Revi Food – food company with its roots in the fish market of Ostend. Founded in 1992 under OSFA nv, which focused as a wholesaler on local retailers. In 2010, the name was changed to Revi Food, which has since grown into a production company with a clientele in retail, wholesale and food service.

I3-4-SEAWEED business case

As part of the I3-4-SEAWEED project, Revi (Belgium) is scaling up the development of high-quality, seaweed-based food products to meet growing demand for nutritious and sustainable everyday meals. Building on its strong position in the food industry, Revi is integrating seaweed into familiar product categories—such as ready meals, soups, sauces, salads, and breaded foods—making seaweed more accessible to a wider audience.

With a skilled team of chefs and food experts, Revi is focused on delivering products that are both delicious and industrially scalable. The aim is to shift seaweed from a niche ingredient to a mainstream solution, helping modern consumers make more conscious food choices without compromising on taste. Supported by strong networks in retail and food services, this business case has high potential to bring seaweed innovation to plates across Europe.
